ASSIGNMENT #3 - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

1.) Write about one 'CONFLICT' that one of the main characters is having in the novel you are reading.  Be sure to include what type of conflict it is.  You must clearly state the type and details of the conflict.  If you have forgotten, you may go to this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict_(narrative).  Please note, that this wikipedia page is not 100% correct.  The different types of conflicts should not say 'MAN VS', it should read 'PERSON VS'.  You must state that your conflict is one of the 5 listed on this webpage. 

2.) Go back to Assignment #1,2, and #3.  Read all of the responses by your classmates.  Then, you must comment on one of the students' blog posts by offering your opinion.  This may be in the form of a suggestion on how they may improve their posts, or in the form of agreement to their post.  You can Tell them that you agree with what they said, however you must also include your reasons why you agree.

    Conflict: Person vs. Person
    My comment is on when Julilly gets traded as a slave to a place she calls "The Dreded South" (Mississippi. Her warden there is very strict and likes to whip crippled slaves such as Julilly's friend Liza.

    My conflict is Julilly against herself thinking of whether or not to take the underground road to Canada.

    To make it a bit better you can fix the spelling mistake in dreaded.(Its dreaded not dreded.)You can also add the ) at the end of the bracket sentence.

    Conflict: person vs person
    My conflict is on julilly because Julilly was traded with other slaves and the fat guy named Sims whips julilly and the other slaves too.

    My conflict is a Person VS. Society conflict. My conflict is about how the black slaves of the south are trying to stop slavery.

    One conflict that the main character julilly is having is a person vs peson coflict. the conflict is that she is being treated poorly because she has dark skin. Because of this conflict she wants to escape to freedom.
